Asia brown bag talk: Andreas Møller Mulvad

The Dream of Democracy is not dead in China. Yes, the Xi administration has turned up the pressure on pro-democratic voices with a cocktail of repression and ideological propaganda. Yet, this should not lead us to assume that the Spirit of 1989 is gone forever. The bold prediction of my talk is that we will see a new popular movement for democracy, seriously challenging the monopoly of power of the CCP, before the PRC turns 100 in 2049.
