External Podcast: What a failed EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment could mean for European companies in China
The situation for European companies in China has turned significantly more complicated after the EU-China investment deal has been put on hold by Brussels.
In this podcast Professor Emeritus, Jørgen Delman, China studies, UCPH, discusses how he would advise European companies with exposure to China, now that the relationship between China and the European Union has become far more complicated after the EU Commission put the China-EU investment deal on hold yesterday.
The EU Commission made this decision, as diplomatic tensions have made conditions for the agreement "unfavourable," EU Commission Vice President Dombrovskis told the media. This was probably not a surprise considering that Brussels "suddenly" discovered Chinese human rights abuses in the Xinjiang province and the risk of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
