Binary numbersThemes - Technology and Digital

As one of the fastest growing and most government supported industries, the new tech industry in China has taken many western countries by surprise. Going from a nation of manufacturing or copying to a highly innovative and competitive one, China has laid out the ground work for taking over key industries like artificial intelligence, supercomputers, robotics, electric vehicles etc. as formulated in the Made in China 2025 plan. China is not afraid of exploring new possibilities through trial and error, and the Chinese people is highly adaptive and welcoming of new technologies that can make their everyday life easier, in spite of the consequences this might have for their personal data and freedom from surveillance. This creates a rapidly developing industry that constitutes a real competitor to the American lead, which might in fact be one of the reasons for the emerging trade-war.
